Business industry
This includes careers that are mainly business oriented. People in this industry often work in a massage office, home office, or for a franchise. It also gives you the opportunity to work for a business that is already successful. A home office is one way to have your own massage therapy business. Athletic industry
Some massage therapists choose to work with athletes. For those who are interested in athletics this can be a fun and exciting option. Massage therapist are needed for both amateur and professional sports teams. There are also opportunities at health clubs and fitness centers.
Travel industry
One of the more glamorous choices for massage therapists is the travel industry. Massage therapist who work in the industry could work in hotels, spas, resorts, or on cruise ships. One of the appeals of this career choice is that you have the opportunity to work in exciting and possibly even exotic places. Fancy hotels, spas and resorts provide a fun work atmosphere. Working on a cruise ship gives you the opportunity to travel. The clients that massage therapist have in the travel industry are often excited to be there which makes for a pleasant client base as well.
